The day we got married was of course the best day of our lives up till now. We had such a romantic wedding and I loved everything about it! Our photographer was amazing and our reception center was beautiful! I don't have time to go into detail about all of it but it was breathtaking. There was so much going on that day I can hardly remember it all! The one memeory that was engraved in my mind forever was our sealing. What a special moment. I remember feeling almost out of my body. The spirit was so strong and the air felt almost hard to breathe! Steven was so cute when he cried, which made me cry.... it was just perfect! And with that kiss it was done... We had finally made it! I love everything about that boy and I can't believe we are almost at our 6 month mark! We have had a typical time as newlyweds. We stay home all the time and just love being with each other. It was certainly a change but we are now used to living with each other. We love traveling and have already taken several trips in our six months! In October we took a trip to DISNEYWORLD and that was the best trip ever! We ran around like little kids while laughing at the parents disciplining their kids! We have the best life right now. We only have each other and thats the way we intend to keep it for now. We are so excited for our first Christmas and can't wait to get our wii :) haha
This past year has been such a dream. I look at girls who aren't married and I just feel so bad for them! They are missing out on the greatest expierence you can ever go through! I hope this love and infatuation stays right where it is because we are both so happy. Steven is teaching in Elders Quorum and I am the Nursery Leader. We are liking our ward and enjoying getting to know new people. School and work are a bore but we know they will be over soon enough! My new years resolution is to keep up on our blog! I'm starting a little early but its better to start now then to procrastinate!

Steven is now 23!

We had the best weekend I think both of us have had in such a long time! Friday was Steven's birthday and we got to do some great stuff! I spent all night Thursday making him this fantastic cake called Orange Velvet. It was sooo amazing! I actually messed up on the first one so I made two! haha I got the idea from a bridal show the week before when this clever lady decided to have cool flavored wedding cakes! She had things from orange velvet to raspberry lemonade! Steven and I loved her samples so much that I decided to attempt to recreate it. Now I'm not the greatest chef so it was a little difficult... but I think I did pretty good!

We went to Rodizio Grill on Friday and Steve was in heaven! He loves meat more than anything else so he was just goin to town! I had a great time too. We always have fun when we are together because we always find ways to make things fun and exciting! I can't even wait to see what it will be like when this boy and I finally get married! I'm sure everyday will be something different and fun! We had the workers sing him happy birthday in Brazilian or something like that and it was so funny to hear them sing it! The guy with the bongo drums was pounding on them right behind me and Steve said I jumped out of my chair when he started! haha We also got the privilege of seeing Memit Okur from the Jazz. It was so crazy how tall he was! But all in all I think we had a great day!

The next day was our Engagement Pictures! It was so funny to see Steven and how he acted. We were just being calm and casual in the car ride over but as soon as we got in front of that camera he hammed it up! :) he is so cute to me. The photographer kept catching us smooching off camera or would end up with random shots because Steve decided to twirl me around or throw me over his shoulders! ha We had such a fun time! I never wanted it to end! Our photographer said we should be getting back our pictures within a week or so, so we will have to post them up! He took us to the coolest spots in salt lake so we are super excited!

My family decided to have a little birthday dinner for Steven so he got to spend Sunday with us. My sisters are so silly around him! They don't quite know what is going on and why I chose to marry him, but lets hope in time they will understand! ha We went on a walk to the park and Steve got to hold Bo's leash. I swear he loves that dog more than my sisters do! (and that's a lot of lovin!) He got the best candles I have ever seen! I was a tad bit jealous. But the weekend was a blast! We had so much fun! and it was so great to spend time with him. Every time I see him I am just amazed at how much I could love someone! Its a great feeling...

As you may know Steven and I go to different schools so we thought it would be lots of fun to dress up in our schools gear and take some great pictures! haha We are both a little silly... but thats what makes life interesting!

Wedding plans!

Wow it has been way too long since I last got on! Not a whole lot of things have gone on but we have been doing some wedding planning! We picked out our announcements and we are going back this week to pick out our flowers and cake! Everything has been so wonderful. I love planning a wedding and I wish I could do it all the time! haha Steven and I can't even wait any longer to get married! We booked our honeymoon and we are so excited! We chose to take a Caribbean cruise and spend 7 days in the sun! Everything is going so great... We have our engagement pictures coming up next week and my bridals are the first of May!
We have a couple of pictures from the last time we went to our wedding planner. ha They are a little bit silly but my mother insisted on capturing the moment! I'll be sure to keep up with the planning and let everyone know how our next visit with the wedding planner goes!

He asked and I said Yes!
As you probably all know by now Steven asked me to marry him this last weekend! We are so excited to start our new life together! All the stress and excitement has already begun with planning a wedding! He is so great though because he lets me pick out almost anything I want! We found a cute little reception place in Bountiful called Canterbury Place and I can't even wait to get started. We were looking through some past wedding pictures and everything I said I wanted he agreed with! He just didn't like the girly invitations :) thats ok though! I'm so lucky to have him. We talk about the day when we can finally be married and I get overwhelmed with the love I feel for him. He is just so good to me! I'll make sure to include all the juicy details about how the planning goes! We already have a planner helping us and she is so cute! It's going to be so much fun! And sorry mom... you will probably be the one stressed out with it all!

The Day of Love.

Is there anything greater? Valentine's day is truly the best day ever! And I got to spend it with the one I love! We had such a great time I didn't want it to end. Of course Steve didn't tell me anything about what he had planned, he only told me to bring a swim suit and warm clothes.... Hmm.... I was pretty confused at what he had planned!
I got to his house around 5 and he took me to Salt Lake and we got to eat at a cute little restaurant called Benihannas (I probably just butchered the name) It was a cute little Japanese place that's pretty much like Tepenyaki. But we got ice cream! haha it was so good and we had lots of fun people watching everyone around us! I always love going out with him because he makes me feel like I'm the only person in the room. And we always have so much fun together! His personality is contagious.
But after our dinner we started driving up the canyon and he told me we were going to Park City to go explore the town and see what cute things they have there! We had so much fun walking up and down the old street and going in all the fancy shops! The best part was going in the candy store and getting all the great candies that reminded us of our childhood. Once we were done with our shopping Steve told me we were going to sneak into the Marriott hotel and go hot tubbing. I liked the sound of that! I was pretty nervous about trying to sneak in but it was a breeze! Once we got in our suits and were walking outside we realized how freezing it actually was! It was a little bit of a trouble because the tubs were a little too hot and the pool was way too cold! so we stood up a lot to keep warm. haha it was so pretty though! they had like ten hot tubs with waterfalls coming into them and they looked like some cool rocky hot pots formation. haha It was fun. We stayed there for about an hour or so, and once we were done there we headed back home.
On the way back we found a fault I have that I partly blame my mother on. We didn't take any pictures of our great night together! Everything was just too fun to think about pictures! My mom is always super camera happy and I always relied on her to capture the moments! So I promised I would do a much better job at taking pictures. Because we want to keep these great memories forever! Even though we have no pictures it was still such a great night! I am always so happy when I get to come home and be with Steven. He is the one who makes everything better! I love him more and more each day! He is just perfect. I can't wait for the day when school is out and I actually get to be with him everyday! But until then we get to have our special weekends together. Keep posted for our next great adventure we get to do together!

One year older and wiser too!

My birthday is February 11 and I always love how close it is to Valentine's day! Steven and I couldn't see each other because it was in the middle of the week and we were both pretty busy. Steven promised me he would make it up to me and do something for my birthday. I just didn't know what...
On Friday morning around 6 am I get a phone call from him saying I had something waiting under my bedroom door for me. I had no idea what was going on! So I got out of bed and found a cute little heart that said " Kylie, My love for you of which I'm certain I'm hiding behind your shower curtain." I soon found myself engaged in this cute little scavenger hunt on my way finding something I had no idea what it was! The next thing I found was my shower filled with rose petals and daises (he knows I love them the most) the next clue said, "You're the sweetest you couldn't be greater, speaking of sweets check the refrigerator." After finding chocolates and flowers in the fridge I found the next clue which said, "I know you want to find an answer, better check inside your Lancer." He made me go out and look in my car! I couldn't believe it. My car was frosted over so I really thought he was inside it! Once I opened the door I found more rose petals and flowers along with the next clue, "You're my only true DESIRE, I'm waiting for you in the dryer." Now by this time I had no idea what was going on and I was getting a little worried it would carry on for 20 more minutes! ha ha I found some sparkling cider in the dryer along with the next clue "Its almost over, just one more chore... who's that waiting at your front door?" Now my heart started to beat faster because I didn't think he would come all the way up here! I ran up to the front door and found a freezing little Steven sitting on my front step! I was so thrilled he came up to see me! It made my entire day! I didn't want to go to any of my classes cuz I knew Steven was waiting for me at home! But all in all it was an excellent day and I was so glad I got to share it with my best friend!

A wonderful night!

Our next big adventure took place at the beautiful draper temple this weekend. We went with my family but I mostly stayed with Steven the entire time. It was so amazing to be able to visit and see all of the beautiful things that go on in the temple! Each room was breathtaking. Steven informed me all i needed to know about each room we visited. I loved having my own personal tour guide! I felt so excited that one day that will be me going through it and ill be able to know as much as he does! I always love spending time with Steven. he truely is the one i love! its always extra special when I get to spend time with him because we live so far apart. Sometimes I wish I could spend all my time at home just so I could be with him everyday! but its ok, the summer will soon be here and we will be able to spend a lot more time together!
back to the temple. It was so amazing to feel the spirit in there even before it had beed dedicated! My favorite part about the temple was the dainty little brides room! it had precious little chandeliers and it looked like a princess room! after we had our tour we were taken to a stake center or church where we got to see pictures of temples all around the world and it was amazing to see how many there are! and how blessed we are to have 12 in utah alone!
all in all the night was a great one! I loved knowing I have someone who is worthy to be a temple recomend holder and who loves to do things like that with me! he is most definitely a keeper!

Our Story

Me and Steven have had a great time together! We met just about 7 months ago at a great little place called Especially For Youth. I decided to go for one last year as a participant. He was the very first boy I met there and he turned out to be my counselor. haha I began to fall for our counselor and i felt a little silly for liking him because I knew I didnt even have a chance! once the week ended, him and I started talking on facebook and we decided to hang out on the 4th of July. we went to some fireworks and after went up in the mountains and watched a movie. It was by far the most love at first "date" I have ever had. The day after our first date we had our first kiss. for the rest of the summer we spent as much time together as possible! I knew something was different about him and I couldnt wait to see what it was.
Summer soon ended and we both went off to seperate schools. He stayed at the University of Utah and I headed up to Utah State. I thought we wouldnt be able to see each other at all and I was so sad I had to leave my best friend. We made time to see each other about every other week or so. When we were together it felt like we hadnt left each other at all! of course after a few months we realized that we loved each other very much. I suddenly realized that I couldnt live without him! this is our second semester away from each other and we are trying to do our best with spending as much time with each other as we can. it gets really hard sometimes but we have had some great adventures! I want to be able to use this blog to be able to look back on all the great things we do and to let everyone else in on the fun!
